The 888Live Festival, which was hosted by the Kings Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, has just ended, with Catalin Pop emerging victorious from the Festival’s Main Event.
The player, who ranked first in the 888Live Rozvadov Main Event after outlasting a massive number of competitors, took home a prize of €80,000. The event has managed to gather a players field consisting of 531 entries, with a number of professional players taking part in the competition, including at the final table.
Calatin Pop from Romania, who started the final day fourth in chips faced some of the best professional poker players. He managed to beat a number of opponents by using some clever and timely bluffs and strategic play.
After the final table was formed, the atmosphere heated up and players played on fast pace until Pavel Berka from the Czech Republic became the first one to leave.
Then, the players got eliminated one by one until there were only two of them left around the table. The German Bernd Schonwalder, who qualified for the Main Event online and who started the final day last in chips, faced the Romanian in an epic heads-up battle, which ended with a big win for Catalin Pop.
